Sierra Leone Brewery Limited (Heineken) is set to transfer its ownership to Sierra Bottling Group (SBG), a subsidiary of African Bottling Group Limited (ABG), following recent consultations on August 19, 2025 between Management, the Ministry of Employment, Labour and Social Security and the Sierra Leone Labour Congress.

The engagements, aimed at finalizing the transition plan, ensure the timely payment of employees’ end-of-service benefits and maintain industrial peace between Management and the workforce.

Addressing employees at the SLBL Canteen on Tuesday, Employment and Labour Minister, Mohamed Rahman Swaray, reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to a smooth and fair transition. He encouraged employees to maintain dedication throughout the process and assured that all legal entitlements under the Employment Act would be honored within the stipulated timelines.
